Lasers fixed !

I finally managed to get a proper solution for fixing the lasers... I used a method I've seen on nuigroup.com, from AdrianH, which is very clever and also simple. As he says, "Basically, it is a piece of metal resting on 4 screw-nuts, so that it is possible to adjust height/roll easily and precisely" I couldn't explain it myself better :).

I'll try to calibrate and make some resistance tests later, but the result feels pretty strong right now.

  1. Hi there,
Your project is quite exactly what I have I mind for making my own MediaCenter/Cofee Table/Multitouch Device !
Great, I'll might bother you with some questions :)

Here is the first one: Is the limited vertical view angle of LCD a problem when you are sitting on your couch ?
As the view angle from the top is often better than from the bottom, may be you inverted the screen upside-down ?

    And congrats !

  2. Hello Thomas,

    A ta dispo !

  3. Hi, What laser did you use? I bought 4 x 780nm 25mw lasers but the blobs are too weak. what do you recommend? should I buy 60 mw 780nm laser? or 80mw? (is only +3 dolars) I hope to hearing from you soon, thanks!

  4. Hi there ! Sorry I was on holiday and couldn't reply to you :)

I use 4 x 780nm 25mw lasers like you and I also have some trouble with the blob detection, especially in daylight, they're not quite steady :/

I don't have time at the moment to test, but switching to 60mW seems a good idea. If you change for them, could you keep me posted if the blob are better?

Cheers and keep up the hard work !
